About Your Photographer
Hi, I'm Grace, the proud owner and photographer of Photos by Grace.
I am a junior at Winthrop University working towards a degree in Mass Communications. My passion for photography blossomed when I was gifted my first DSLR at 14 years old. Growing up around my brother's baseball games, I spent countless weekends at the ball field, honing my skills and building my early portfolio with sports photography. During those formative years, I immersed myself in studying camera settings and the art of capturing dynamic sports moments. As time went on, I expanded my portfolio to include portraits, events, weddings, engagements, headshots, and family photos. Some fun facts about me:
- I was a competitive gymnast growing up. I loved it, but several serious injuries put a damper on my career. After a shoulder surgery and a back injury, I was forced to retire just before my senior year of high school. I began coaching just before my retirement and have been in love with it ever since.
- I love to travel. I spend a lot of time in New York with my family and I love exploring new places. I've been dying to travel to the midwest and explore Colorado, Montana, and Wyoming, as well as see California. I would also love to travel to Italy, Greece, France, and Australia.
- I grew up playing piano, trumpet, and singing in choirs. I not only love playing instruments, but I also enjoy listening to music. I can't say I have a favorite genre, I will literally listen to anything. My Spotify playlist is over 110 hours long and it keeps growing as I discover new music.
